Deleting text message recipient list... - Treo Forums

I can't seem to find a way to clear the drop down "To" list when composing a new text message. Does anyone know how to do this?

Using a 700p with Sprint.

You need to delete the file called AddressingLibRecent-HsCh

All I know for sure is that deleting it clears the recent recipients list in the Messaging app. I imagine editing would be possible for someone with developer/programmer skills.

Well....I was messing around today, and I beamed the file to my laptop and opened it with Notepad. It was a basically just a header followed by the numbers separated by some symbols. It can probably be easily edited and then beamed back to the Treo, but I didn't try it. Maybe another time.

....seems like an awful lot of trouble to go to....
