    i just got a 700p from verizon. how do i exit or disconnect from the web.

    Do you want to disable it, or just drop the data connection temporarily? Just switch to a non-web app if the latter.

    Blazer doesn't run in the background, so if you switch to a non-web app, you won't be transferring data.

    sorry to sound like an idiot, so if i hit the home button to go to the home page, i'm off the web and no data transferring ?

    If you mean the home button on your keyboard, yes. The data connection will remain connected, but will not be transferring data.

    It's ok to leave it connected and not transferring data. You can permanently disable data in the Prefs app, but then you won't be able to use Blazer, Versamail, etc.
