Default Drop calls on the Sprint Network

My Treo 700p has been experiencing numerous drop calls on the Sprint Network. These drop calls have been in places where I did not experience drop calls in past like my home (sitting at my desk). The drop calls have become intrusive and began annoying my callers, so it was time to look into the situation. I need to call Sprint and ask for reimbursement. Before making this call, several questions come to mind.

My first question relates to Sprint blaming the phone and platform itself. Has anyone been experiencing drops calls with the Treo 700p? Would any software on the Treo infer with the cellular radio? I have large variety of software on my Treo; but the Treo has been stable. Could the cellular radio have issues and the phone need replacement? My Treo is still under the one year warranty.

I have never had Sprint question a dropped call, it really is a fact of life and can happen any old time. Issues: signal strength, tower availability, call load, weather, where you are in the car, et cetera. If it happens in a specific area, the carrier needs to be advised. Ben

Dropped Calls & Credits

A dropped call may occur in the following situations:
  • When a signal is interrupted by an obstruction, such as a building or tunnel
  • When a signal is transferred from one tower to another
  • When you are trying to make a call during high usage time
  • When you are outside the Sprint PCS coverage area
To receive credit for a dropped call, dial *2 from your Sprint PCS phone. Say "credit for a dropped call" and follow the instructions provided to you.

If Sprint's blaming the phone and it's still under warranty, by all means get a replacement (this will rule out the radio). They can't exactly say no if they're pointing fingers, can they?

yeah whenever you get a dropped call follow thease steps

- dial *2
- say "dropped call"
they will credit you 1 min. at the highest rate which is $0.50
- you can do this 4 times a day and 20 times a month total..

soooo 20 times a month is $10.00 off haha
