Default Earpiece not working while the unit is plugged in?

This is weird... Seems that, while my phone is charging, I can not hear anyone through the earpiece. I can, however, switch to speaker and hear again through the speakerphone... But switching back to the earpiece, I lose all ability to hear.... Unplugging the unit and restarting seems to fix the issue, but it's a bit annoying that I can't talk on the phone while it's charging without using the speakerphone. has anyone else had this problem?

I admit I've never had that problem on my Sprint 700p. I've used the phone many times (including just now) while plugged in.

There's definitely somethin' funky goin' on with the Handset (Ear) speaker on the 700p's!

I've suffered an "intermittent" failing handset speaker problem for months, and never traded the unit in for fear of getting one with worse/more serious problems (my device works pretty much flawlessly aside from the handset speaker issue).

Granted, mine didn't occur while charging/plugged in, but rather most of the time, when being used normally.

Thankfully, the problem mysteriously disappeared about two weeks ago, and has been working fine since doing a "hard reset", necessitated by ZLauncher.

Hope this helps. I'll provide the link below re: my problem, and wish you luck. Hopefully it'll just "start working again", like mine did:laugh3:.

I agree.. it is and isolated phone issue. In the past I have had a 700p that would not ring at all while charging.. a voicmail would appear without even hearing the phone ring. After unplugging the charger it would work properly. A hard reset permantly fixed the problem.
