| VersaMail comes standard with the 700p. I believe you may need to install it from your CD if you're on Verizon.

| I'm not aware of any freeware email apps. Maybe you could contact Verizon?

| I'm on Verizon and have VersaMail (now called Email). I'm not sure if this was part of the initial install CD, as I use SnapperMail.

| I use versamail that came with the phone, yes you have to load it from the CD.
I really like it... I have AOL accounts (3 of them, one for me 2 for work) and can check them all with just a few pushes of the buttons......
SO far so good Quote:

| It'll be hard to remove me from Snappermail, but I will give it a try. I've used Snapper for years and love it. I just wish they didn't remove the old three headed fish logo.

| SnapperEmail was the 2nd I used. The first was Endora on the Kyocera and that just stank. When the Treo 300 came out, I went with Snapper and just loved the 3-eyed fish, though I understand that turned into a Copyright problem. The 600 came out and I stayed with SnapperEmail and had some issues with it, though kept with it until 2x came out. When 2x came out, I was unable to use it reliably and switched to Chatter which eventually became ChatterEmail. Ben

I installed nothing from disc!!! I did see on my disc that versamail was an option. I went to my email program and went to "about" and it just says "Email-copyright blah blah NOKIA" So Im unsure who its by-nokia? I've had 3 700p's in the past 2 months and they all came with this email app pre-installed. hope this helps.
Chris,
FYI, you were trying to help me with that distortion noise I got at the beginning of every call (which I appreciate), anyways, the floor model did it and every single one Ive switched out does it. I ve just come to accept it and ignore it |
