Just bumping this back up. I see there has been no fixes as of yet. This problem has SERIOUSLY limited my productivity and I'm going to look into a Motorola Q9m. Anyone out there ever use a new Q yet?

I Just received this email from Palm; I clicked the link to the Palm website but it says the MR is down. Anyone else get this??

May I suggest you look at this "revised update", like going in to the hospital for surgery. Avoid it at all costs, unless your life absolutely depends on it! "Hollywood"

I checked the TreoCentral boards. They're reporting the same problem.

    One guy said this, though:
I called the MyPalm Support 800 number (888-7MYPALM) and was advised that the 700w and 700wx updates are now available, but the update for the 700p is NOT available.

It sounded like the email went out to everyone, when it was supposed to only go out to the windows treo owners.

The lady did state that it should be coming out by the end of next week... But who knows for sure. She said she couldn't promise anything.

    Hope this helps y'all!
I don't trust anything a Palm "rep" says on the phone. The way I see it - there is a chance that there will be an update released later this afternoon for Palm OS users. If the update doesn't come, we'll just have to continue waiting...

I received another email from Palm at 3:23p today. It said that the previous email was sent prematurely and that the patch was now available.

I figured I'll be the test dummy here. lol. I'm happy to say that the 700p is doing GREAT so far. The network connection problem ("error 3000") is gone. Connections to the Internet are fast.

Finally...the 700p seems to be the phone that it should've been when we brought it out of the box the first time long ago.

Thanks to Palm. (sigh of relief)

Great to hear! Continued good luck, and keep us posted. Maybe all the issues with the update are finally resolved?

    Default Yea !!

Yep, finally got, installed it (it takes forever) and my phone didn't die which is amazing all by itself. No more Error 3000 and the phone seems to be working well. I hope this is the end of it now!!
