Ramphog... I'm getting the exact same thing, but completely different ;-}.

I get alarms off and on all day that my e-mail connection didn't work. No 3000 error, but it looks like the signal just isn't there. Then, five minutes later, it works fine. I've even tried e-mail manually as soon as I get the error and it works fine.

I feel your pain. I cannot WAIT to have this contract over with. The only thing is, it's not Verizon. It's Palm... I know we all whine about Verizon, but they just sell the Treo. It's Palm who should be held accountable for this mess.

    Anyway, hope this helps...

And the saga continues. More reasons NOT to update!!

I think the way to go, is just to wait until the device fails (again), and then get a new one from Verizon with the update already done.

    Good luck!

If you are having trouble with your internet try accessing your phone's dial pad and dialing ##774 and choose to reset to factory default settings, you will need your MSL code and you can get that from your cell provider.

After you do that you will reset your internet settings to factory defaults you WILL NOT lose any data stored on the treo.

Then dial ##3282 and then tap data on the upper left of the screen, from the pull down menu choose update vision profile and choose now.

    That will restore your internet.

You will need to contact your Cell Provider, they will be able to give you that information. You will have to know the password on your account or they won't be able to give that information out to you.

Thanks for the tip, guys. I've been having the same problem since the MR...will call Verizon right now.

    [edit]

    Just an FYI...

I talked to VZW. They had me go through another *228 + option 1 update before they did anything else. And, sure enough, seems to have fixed the problem. I tested my access to the internet several different ways while I had the VZW rep on the phone--had no problems connecting.

After the MR update a week ago, I did a *228 (options 1 and 2). Apparently, it needed it again.
