    Default Extended Battery...

Has anyone used an extended battery for the 700p? I'm thinking about grabbing one, but I want to get some feedback on the performance.

    1. Do you notice a substantial difference between the stock battery, and the extended?
    2. Is it worth it???
    3. Is the Sedido the only one that's available for the 700P?

    Thanks in advance.

I haven't used one, so cannot comment on 1 and 2. There are several options with regard to extended Treo batteries. Seidio, Palm and Smartphone Experts make them.

    I have the seido 2400mhz.

It does last up to 33% longer than the default battery. You'll notice a big diffference in it.

It is a little big but still fits in the 700p. It is kind of a tight fit.

Also, I think it is worth it. Instead of having a battery die after 6hours or so. Having one that last all day is great.

Only downside is ( which doesn't bother me) the extended battries will make the device a little heavier and hotter.

Mine should arrive today. Does it make the device get hotter?

yes it does but your device does have a temp kill switch. SO you don't have to worry about the temp destorying your device.

It doesn't get so hot that you can't hold the phone anymore but the battery does get warmer.

If in a cold place your won't even notice if the battery gets warmer.:laugh3:
Also it is kind of like a hand warmer.

Yeah, I've seen the effects of the kill switch. I left the phone in the hoslter while talking on the phone in the car, and it was under my coat. When I got out of the car and looked at the phone, it had no lights whatsoever.

Since that day I learned when the phone gets hot, do not remove the rubberized case, it stretched so bad that I had to buy another one.
