Hollywood, while you're looking at 3rd party launchers, you might want to give Hi-Launcher a test drive. Not as much eye-candy as ZLauncher or Initiate, it basically emulates the Windows start menu.I put a bunch of apps on the first layer for quick access, like the camera, memos, Blazer, etc; then categorized the rest. It's very configurable, with things like recently used app menu items, press and hold to go to the previous app, and special menu items to toggle the radio, kb light, and Bluetooth (this last requires another 3rd party app, but I just used Hobbyist's free Power Hero plugin BT toggle).

The pop-up launchers do come in handy. I use Launch-Anywhere much more than I use ZLauncher and I no longer use ZLauncher's quick launch feature.

After all the people I (thought) were using ZLauncher and "satisfied", I mistakenly thought it would be the way to go. Not only was I extremely disapointed with the performance, but have to say the "tech support" left quite a lot to be desired as well:angry:
My Treo's running like a champ again, and if there is any silver lining in the cloud of the "Hard Reset" this caused me to do, it's that it seems to have (at least for the time being) corrected the intermitent Handset Speaker issue I've be dealing with for the past couple of months! I can hear again

Good to hear, glad everything is working well for you. I hope the problems that you had were not affecting all of of the 700P's.
Just got my 700, and haven't gotten any new programs as of yet, but ZLauncher was first on my list. I used it with my 650 and it worked flawless. Could have had more options for themes, but I loved it.
I have been slightly hesitant (sp?) in upgrading it for my 700. Have you found another launcher that your interested in? I'd be interested in hearing your experience with another launcher. Mainly Intiate or some of the others.

No I haven't, not yet. After the debacle caused by ZLauncher this week, I've decided to leave well enough alone for a while, & "quit while I'm ahead"!"Hollywood"

I have played with Initiate Pro (http://www.hobbyistsoftware.com/initiate-more.php) and found it to be a very, very powerful application. It does not use as much physical memory; however, due to its indexing scheme, it does take time to perform some functions. My device, though stable, is far from fast.
It allows complete customization and options that no other launcher has and is well supported. It does not have a built-in file management function - when playing with it, it kept wanting to use FileZ.
ZLauncher gives the user the ability to have multiple columns displaying the applications, Initiate does not. Initiate's file launching is more comprehensive.
I suggest giving them both a go.

And that is exactly what I am doing.
Take care!
