    Default Freezing After Unanswered Call

Hi. I'm running the Treo 700p on the Verizon network with the upgraded firmware. Whenever I miss a phone call, the phone completely freezes up. I can't change the screen, I can't flip to another screen, etc. The only way to fix it is to pop the battery out and restart the phone.

Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

Is this with or without 3rd party software is installed? if there is 3rd party software, I suggest a full backup, hard reset and see what happens. If it operates fine, then Investigator Joe1897 needs to do a bit of looking. Ben

Thanks for the response. I have Bejeweled, Dropairs, mRing (trial), pTunes, Solitaire, and WordPop! all installed. I will run a backup and try a hard reset to see if the problem persists.

I've used the 700p on and off since October 2006. I'm on my third replacement phone. Each replacement phone has a new issue that needs to be fixed. After this phone has worn itself out, I'll never buy another Palm product again.

If you have not done the hard reset yet, did this happen after mRing was installed?

I have not done the hard reset yet and yes, this started after mRing was installed.

Perhaps this is the smoking gun?

mRing has problems with some people and not with some people. I would suggest backing the device up, deleting mRing, then execute a soft reset, and give it a go.

Better ring-tone management applications: LightWav and RingCare.
