Hello,

I just noticed that when I look at the individual categories on my Treo that "ALL" is the only normal heading in the dropdown. All others and some extra ones I never had before are jibberish. I deleted all of them except the one I suspect is the "UNFILED" category its still garbled and you can't change it.

If i click into the "Unfiled" category it reset the phone. There is no object selected for "Unfiled" I made sure of that. I can go into every app and they work just fine same with the other categories I created and renamed. UNFILED is hosed.

I can reset the phone to default and all is fine. But once I sync anything, no matter what I turn off to try an find the category with the issue its always the same. Every category becomes garbled.

I am looking for any ideas. I will be starting the process of exporting all my files and eventually reinstalling the Palm desktop and sync with a raw install then importing each section 1 at a time. I think my main concern is that something other than the normal Memo or Address book is updating and I can't weed it out. I will look through the apps or add ons and start deleting those also.

When you look at the files in the phone that has been sent back to default versus what the files look like after a sync. The sync files have a bunch of junk i am not sure what they are.

I think its back to the drawing board. Start over and pick up the pieces one at a time till I am back to level ground.

First major issue ever for my Treo since i got it 3 or 4 years ago. I still love it,but when it tank a phone I really tank it.
