    Default Grrr... Help!

This time I'm pretty upset. My phone won't send or recieve MMS, the icon comes up in the top right, it says 0%, blinks about 10 times, and just goes away... it even freezes sometimes when my friends send me pictures and it cant recieve... Its been about 3 days of this garbage and I'm about to throw my phone. HELP!

Have you contacted support to determine in a primitive manner if it is their system or the device? Were you playing in the preferences area? Is there a local service center?

Justin, I am certainly not a pro at this, but I have experienced what you are saying and have found that the reason is simply that the file is too large to send. The bad thing is many of the pictures I take on the treo are too large to send. And video, forget it. Maybe someone can help here, but I think file size might be the issue.

i talked to the verizon tech guy about it today and the only explanation he could offer was i should "empty my text box" even tho it only had like 800 in it and i have a 2gb sdcard... anyway, I did that and it did nothing, so i said how about a firmware update? and he said yeah, go do that and come back if it isnt fixed... lots of help :-\

anyway, my address book is backed up on my computer via palm desktop and hotsync, but when i clear it to update the firmware how do i put it back on? I just want to be clear, i have a lot of numbers i cant afford to lose

Make a backup of the device, then for the "just in case" illness you are feeling, just copy that backup folder to another folder. Make sure when you do the back up you have it set to "device overwrites desktop."

After the update is done, then do a restore of the device with "desktop overwrites device" - this makes sure the desktop is not over written AND you still have the "just in case" illness backup folder
