Having problems with SD card...Help - Treo Forums

I jst bought a 2gb sd card and when formating it. The Treo says formating, but never finishes. It still says formatting after 15mins. I have to reset the treo to get it working again. After that I can chame the name of the card and it say there is 1825mb free.

But when I reset the treo I also see an error that says "The startup application for this card cannot be run" What gives?

Also I cannot save any pics to the card. The card is an ultra speed 150x.

Where do you get to, to format an SD card on the Treo? I have never seen that, other than a specific application preparing the card to accept its files, such as Backup Man. Also, to my knowledge, the SD card does not need to be formatted. I just took mine straight from the package and stuck into the Treo and it worked. Maybe you need to use a card reader to clear the card or a program like Files (Which comes with the Verizon CD if you use Verizon) to manage the files on the SD card.

If you go to Card info, then hit the menu button, you'll see the option to format a card.

Some cards need to be formatted first in the Treo. I've done that with my cards. There are quite a few people who have had problems formatting in different PC's or using different card readers, only to find their card unreadable/-writable by the Treo.

The 2gb won't work in the treo700p, but it will work fine in my camera. The 1gb that was in my camera works fine in the treo. Weird...any ideas?

2g Ultra...SanDisk Ultra? Where did you purchase it? I ask because there was a rash of counterfeit SanDisk cards on eBay a few months ago. If you bought it at a local retailer, I'd suggest going back and exchanging it.
