Default Hello and help (Access Powered)

Hi all...this is my first post. I am a new Treo User and had the 700p for about 2 months, and love it...and have had no problems...until today. I woke up this morning, and looked at my phone, there was an error message saying something like (but not exactly) "The device's memory is limited and not all data was saved" or something like that. I hit 'OK' and it went to the white screen and says "Access Powered" and I can not get it to do anything...I have tried a soft reset...nope...I tried a system reset....nope...and I tried the Hard Reset, it asked if I want to erase all data, I said 'Yes' and still nothing. It stays on the Access Powered screen and I can not do anything. I can't even turn off the phone...the screen is always on (unless I remove the battery)...help? Anyone? Thanks a bunch! (I loved this phone...but this stinks!)...Thanks again!

Okay, I have done a search (and should have done it before I posted) and it looks like this issue has been dealt with with quite a few folks...and pretty much looks like I will be heading to Verizon in the morning to get a new phone...the Access Powered screen is stuck and won't go away...grrrr...

Sounds like you've encountered the dreaded Death Spiral!

Depending on the cause of your particular scenario, it may be replacement time............sorry.................I've been through it myself.

Causes can be too numerous to list, and in some cases, next to impossible to trouble-shoot. My only advice? DO NOT ACCEPT A REFURBISHED DEVICE!!

Good Luck.
