help-how to delete email recipients/contacts?

Hi all;
am a new treo 700p owner so far no problems... one minor thing i cant figure out though... when i use versa mail.... and punch in the first letter or so of the person im sending to , it automatically fills in the email To address with a list of contact emails that are NOT in my contact list...how do i delete the one that are either wrong or not being used?.....from showing its pretty annoying and ive hit every menu i think..
