Question Help With The Life-Timer please

Hello. I learned that by pushing ##786 on my Sprint Treo 700P I can see the Life-Timer. Well I just bought my treo from Best Buy for 199.00 (new) but, the Life-timer says "Minutes: 22306" and below that "Life Data (kilobytes): 257149

I don't understand. Those big numbers above, does this mean that my Treo has been used??

Thank-you much!

All I do is go to phone and then push ##786. This shows the life usage of the phone and data.

Default Help With Life Timer

Ahhhhhhhh,

Don't worry... 22000 minutes is only 366 hours. Or broken down, only 15 days. I have had my 700p since the 11th, and I now have 3657 minutes on it, or sixty hours. Not much for being a Treo addict. I used to be a Blackberry addict. (Crackberry).

Joe

My understanding is that the life timer in minutes is for minutes used on the phone. Those numbers would indicate to me that your phone is refurbished.

Default Life Timer on Treo ?

Now I'm worried. I used the phone a few minutes and the the timer did go up a few minutes more. I called Bestbuy where I bought the Treo for $199.00 and they said they never sell refurbished phones, only new ones. The timer has no indication of it being refurbished. I will call sprint and I'll post back in when I get an answer. Tech at Palm said they don't even know.

Guess nobody here knows the truth about this Life Timer thing, huh?
Even Sprint does not understand "why" my Treo shows over 22,000 minuted used! I only had my Treo for 32 days now, and hardly used it. The truth is that this possibly could of been a test model and repackaged for new sale at sprint. Also, possibly explains the reason why the ESN # shows it has never been used before.

I have been fighting with sprint for 2 days now. I didn't have insurance and my 30 day warranty was up as of a couple of days ago. Got a hold of a Sprint supervisor and they are replacing my 700P for a new 755P

Think smart people the next time your Treo is acting fishy (re-booting itself, etc..) and check the Life Timer. Any seen these big #s before right after they buy their new Treo?

The life timer should only show minutes used not minutes the unit is powered on.
