 |  how do I make messages private? using the basic messaging software that came with the phone is there a way i can make my message and chat sessions from messages private? I can make my contact private but not my messages.... plz help  you can reply or send me an email thanks  |

 |  What do you mean by private? Are you trying to keep the message from popping up on the screen when one comes in? If so, open up messages, hit the menu button, go to options, then prefs. Under the messages tab, you'll see a box you can check for privacy mode. That way, you'll get the alert that a message came in, but the message won't be on your screen for anyone to see.

| Hey kdallen, thx for your reply but i meant how do i make the messages i already have private so that someone using my phone wont be able to read the contents of the message. I dont know if the basic software for messaging will allow us to do this, and its the same with versamail... I cant seem to make my email messages private either. (but if there is a mode that will prompt for a password before opening mail account I'll settle for that one too.) if anyone can help or give advice on a program that allows you to make your messages and emails private, it would be most helpful. thx  also, anyone know where to get some free software? sprint is taxing an arm, leg, and your first born for software. they even have a software that makes your volume louder. (isn't a $600 dollar phone suppose to already come equipped?) |
