    Default I guess I'm back

I re-activated my Treo 700p today, I don't know how long I will keep it. There are things about it that I really like, there are things about it that I don't like. I would sure like to find the ideal handset.

There is no ideal phone - I have spent years looking for it. As a result, I look for one that fits most of my needs and it was not a Blackberry (wife has had 2), not a Nextel (I had a high end one) and it sure was not the 650. The 700P and now the Centro do very well at fitting my needs.

    Hi Jim:

    Welcome back....I guess!!!

What is it that you do like and what don't you like about the 700p?

Benjie is correct in that there really can't be a perfect handset. There are so many different people with so many different wants and needs it would be hard to imagine there could be a perfect one.

If the issues that you don't like are minor ones, but the major needs are met that may be as close as you can come. What other devices have you tried and why do you think you have wound up back here (if that is what happened)?

I certainly miss my 650, but it sure had some major quirks that I am happy to not have to live with any more. Much of what I miss is the comfort of knowing exactly what I did have and knowing the system pretty intimately.

One major like for me is that whatever my company chooses to pay for is okay by me. I can learn to live with it, especially after shopping for a grown-up phone for my daughter and discovering how much these devices really cost every month!!!
