Icon in phone?

Ok so I am also a rookie when it comes to the 700p and since I have not been able to get to a computer with either a sd card reader or mine back home I have not been able to load anything onto it, whitch may be a good thing to get orientated to the phone before I go and throw a whole bunch of apps on it. I am at the in-laws and the phone came 15 min before we left

So my question is what is the icon in the top right corner of the phone app that is blue and has arrows pointing up and pointing down? I know what the bluetooth one looks like so it isn't that but it is to the left of the bluetooth.

Thanks and loving the basics so far of the 700p now to get home and DL apps for it and enjoy it more.

It always looked like an indicator for the signal strength (4 bars across), and I've noticed that the up/down arrows light up when the Treo is Syncing with my Gmail.

Congrats on your new Treo. The indicator you're describing is letting you know you're in EvDO coverage (high-speed data).

That is what I thought it was but I looked everywhere and didn't find anything on it. That helps to know!!!

In applications, under My Treo you can search for ICON,ick the first one and see a list of the icons and what they refer to.
