Never used LauncherX but I love zLauncher. I am told zLauncher is much more feature rich. I know its my file manager, my memory manager, and affords me many options as far as appearance, and shortcuts. Its very customizable, but the learning curve is a little steep . . Its very well supported also . . . .

Here's a review of zLauncher that might help. I've heard good things about both programs. LauncherX has gotten good reviews in the store and is consistently among the best sellers.
Good luck and please let us know which you decide on..

Being a ZLauncher use for a while and having tried the range of them, it largely depends on how much you are willing to invest learning to use it, do you an application capable of doing more than the basics, do you want to do lots of customization. If no is the answer, then LauncherX, if yes is the answer then ZLauncher is the one. I use ZLauncher and love it - totally into the customization, custom screens, noise, et cetera. In addition, support is pretty good. I have had four email conversations with the developer and the longest wait for a response - 2 hours. Ben

14 day trial of x launcher expires this am and finally decide to buy the software
reasons
a) after 2 weeks in use i can navigate the treo easier than z launcher (i'm not a tech person so i always go the easest way)
b) icons look good in the screen (3d quality)
c) user friendly
btw, i'm still learning as days go on
does anyone have a solution to the skipping music in ptunes
thanks

Well let me expand on my lame post a bit more. Each app has it's pro's and con's. I prefer Z launcher due to in my opinion it's level of user customability, more readily available themes that fancy my taste, and it has not caused any crashes on my verizon 700P. I experienced many crashes with X launcher, and the moment I removed it, my crashes went away. I also feel the learning curve is much smaller on Zlauncher, but of course, that is my opinion, and your experience may vary with each app. You cannot go wrong with each one, they are great essential app's. Have fun and enjoy.

I frankly would not compare the two. One is an advanced launcher, the other a standard launcher. Apples and oranges, boys and girls. How much do you want to spend, how much do you want to customize, how much memory to save, et cetera.
