LED notification?

I know this has been discussed over and over, but has anyone found a solution or app to get any LED notification to work for SMS test messages?

REALLY miss that fast flashing option for voicemail and text; that was the best. Chatter allow a console setting for "solid orange" that seems to work. For SMS, I've tried Butler with the same "solid orange," but the LED reverts when the screen turns off.

Otherwise, awful to have no indication there's a message waiting!

That's exactly what I have mine set to, via Butler. Works great.

I don't understand: WHAT setting are you using? Again, it seems that the text notification "solid orange" goes out after the screen goes out...

Does yours stay on for an unread SMS?

Under LED Control, I've got:
override LED set to leave as it is
outstanding voicemail color set to fast green

Under Attn Grabber, I've got it set to nag for missed:
normal alerts, incoming calls, incoming SMS & Butler alarms (under the set alert button for this, I've got the fast green LED selected, so basically a fast green mainly lets me know to pick up my phone)

Somethings weird, maybe it's Verizon? I can't get Fast Green at all -- even if I just set it and try "test alert." Nada. I can get any of the solid colors. (Had heard before that Fast Green wasn't possible on Verizon's 700p.)

But with your advice, I can now get the LED, at least, to stay on to notify me of an outstanding message.

I hadn't heard that but maybe you're right. There are some subtle differences between carriers.
