Hi:
I believe regulations changed in recent years that allow customers to move and the original provider has to provide the unlock code, but I am guessing there are restrictions. One would probably be if you have been a customer for a period and they have recouped their investment.
However, I have never done this and I have never looked into it. I am just recalling posts I have seen.
The good news is that you are moving from one CDMA carrier to another so at least they are compatible. I am not sure about all the functions working the same as Verizon is famous for crippling features that other carriers include. I also wonder if the two high-speed networks are compatible in terms of getting the best speed out of both with the one device.
You really should contact Verizon and Sprint to see what you will be facing.
Let us know how you make out....
