Question Lost Info .... help!

Hello Everyone!

I had a treo 650 and used hotsync with Outlook and no problems until..

Yesterday I traded in my 650 for a 700p, came home and hotsynced it with my Outlook, using the same software and conduit setup that I used with my 650, and all my info was synchronized except for my contacts. They were all transferred to the "deleted items" folder. So, I highlighted all of them (1.9GB's worth) and tried to drag them back to the contacts folder and got the Microsoft Outlook error message "Microsoft Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." regardless if I dragged them all or one at a time. I tried repairing my .pst file, with scanpst, that didn't work. Tried several free pst file repair programs, still nothing.

Does anyone have any ideas how I could restore my contacts from the deleted items folder? Any help is appreciated, Thanks!

Hmm. Didn't read the installation instructions for updating to 700P huh? You were supposed to delete the old palm software ... blah, blah, blah, ... then everything would have been all nice and easy.

In any case, in your Outlook deleted folder, click on the contacts that were deleted, click on "edit" in the menu, click on "move to folder", click on "contacts". That should work. if it doesn't, then i don't know what to say. Next time read the installation instructions before starting? Only kidding.

I used to have the problem, why not tyr Advanced Outlook Repair to undelete the emails you delete by mistake. Refer to http://www.datanumen.com/aor/problem...ok-deleted.htm for more detailed information.

And visiting http://www.datanumen.com/aor/ can get detailed information about Advanced Outlook Repair.

And you can also download a free demo version at http://www.datanumen.com/aor/aor.exe
