Hi everyone,
I have a shiny new 700p with Verizon, and am trying to get it all set up. I use a G4 Mac powerbook, and use the Mac Mail application to manage my three email accounts (rr.com, earthlink.net, and mac.com). Now that I'm trying to get email setup on the 700p using Chatteremail (on others' recommendations), I have to delete messages twice.... once from the 700p, and then again on my computer.
What workflow do you use so that you only get messages once? I don't want to be out all day, receiving and deleting messages on the 700p, then come home to my computer and get all of them again. When I set up my computer's mail program, do I want to immediately delete the messages from the server? I think they stick around for a day or so right now. Will this hamper my 700p from getting the messages?
Usually, when I'm away, my Mac is asleep but the lid is open and it's still checking my email accounts every minute. Will I have to change this habit?
Can I set up the 700p to hotsync with the Mail program and delete these emails when I get home? How do I set that up? I'm using iSync in tandem with my Hotsync button currently.
Another issue I'm having with that: For some reason, it's not syncing contacts and to-dos and calendar with the Palm Desktop software... another bug I'm trying to fix. The address list is completely empty on the Palm Desktop, but it syncs on the 700p. Palm Desktop will allow me to put programs onto the 700p, though.
Sorry if I'm a little lost or basic... I'm new to Palms. Thank you for your help!
As for the contacts and so forth, the conduicts must be installed and enabled properly. As for Macs, my name is stupid.
