    Default Maps and offline viewing

Whenever I need a NYC subway or bus map, I always go to the web and Google it, but that's a pretty bad method since it requires a signal, which I don't have when I'm under the East River (for example). I'd like to store the maps on the Treo.

The obvious solution is to put them in a picture album as image files, but is there a better method?

Perhaps a related question (but maybe not) is I'd like to download/cache certain webpages so I can read them without a data connection. Is there a way to cache webpages so I can view them offline?

I use Blazer, not because I want to, but because I haven't figured out what I need to get a better browser, like Opera, working (that's my next project...)

    Thanks!
    Pete

There is an application that reads jpg files that is meant for maps, thing is, it is only a viewer and for taht purpose, I would not recommend it. A jpg taken of a map and then using the Palm viewer to look at it.
