The memo feature is great to collect data as I travel for work and I no longer 'take notes' with paper/pen. HOWEVER, this last trip was the most important and grueling I've done - collected hard data, customer quotes, etc. for a big report that could significantly change my career. When I 'synched' to get the data, the PC overwrote EVERYTHING and the "custom" Hot sync (yes, from cradle) said that Memos were set to "Sychronize files". Palm support supplied me with some 3rd world country service guy that walked me through everything I already knew and said, "They are gone. So sorry". Grrr.
My log error on the PC said, ""some handheld records were not copied to your PC. Your computer may be full (it's not) or you may have reached max records for desktop (14).
Is there ANYONE that knows if the phone has a place to back-up that data?
Unfortunately, this shows how important a backup app really is. Even a regular hotsync won't work as a good method of backing up all your info. There are several popular ones to choose from. NVBackup is a popular free one you can find here in the free downloads section. RescoBackup (not free) is a good one that I use myself.
