Rob, the developer of Phone Technician has a good product there, but it does not boost to the limit as Volume Care does. Rob's support is also excellent.

The developer's site for that application is http://www.hobbyistsoftware.com/technician-more.php

Ben, when you say the "phone" being louder, can the basic also raise the levels of the speaker phone, ringer etc., etc.?

My understanding is that it does adjust the volume level for each speaker on an all or nothing basis; if you want to adjust the volume level for a specific application, then the Pro version is required.

    Ben,

Each Speaker?? I only see "vents" on the back of my Treo 700p for one speaker. Am I missing something?

I believe it also controls the volume for your headset, be it either BlueTooth or the regular one that connects to the Treo. In addition, I believe you can have the phone at one volume, your MP3 player at a different, etc.

There is the speaker for the front (handset I guess), one for the speaker phone (the back speaker) and it also controls the headset.

Bluetooth volume adjustment is not a function that can be controlled by the device - it is controlled by the Bluetooth headset itself. BTMute is an application that will work with some 650 ROMs, but not all and not the 700p. a link to BTMute is: http://www.gotreosoftware.com/products/BTmute/

So I was all excited about getting this and then saw that it is NOT compatible with the 700wx. Is there something that IS that will increase the volume on that model? I've just upgraded from a 700w and find that the new wx just doesn't have sufficient volume on calls with the headset plugged in. It's fine otherwise. Betty
