I'm syncing with my 700P and storing the audio files on my sd card however the songs break up occasionaly and I don't know if there's something I'm doing wrong or not. I have converted my itunes songs to mp3's and the mp3's sound fine on my computer sound system with no break up however on my treo they have gaps in it on every song. The sound quality is good otherwise but the brakes in the songs are annoying.

Wow! I did not know that SD Cards had a "speed!" I've been having the same issues with music. So the SanDisk Ultra is the answer? Any other brands you can recommend?
SanDisk has always been the brand I have used. Ben

Mp3s are encoded at a bitrate anywhere from 32-320 kbps (kilobits/second). 128 kbps is the generally accepted "cd quality" threshhold. If the bitrate is too high, it can cause skipping as the track is read from the SD card.

So how does one go about encoding an mp3 file to fit the slower SD cards?
