 |  Need help with 2 gig SD card I saw a good deal, a Sandisk 2 gig card on sale. Thought why not... Increase the pictures i can take, the vid I can take and the games I can load..... So I bring it home.... try it... locks up my phone... so I go Ok.. Format... So I put it in my card reader and try to format...... Now this is where it gets weird and I need your help.... My PC would not read it.... weird.... my PC is a monster... anyway.... so I pull out the old laptop that has a card reader... found the card... would only format it under Fat16... not fat 32.... So I try it in the phone.... locked up phone.. had to remove battery.... I know you may need more info... but does anyone have any idea, hints etc... on how to format these cards to work in the phone.....??? On a side note... I have a 1 gig card in there now... can I just copy the games i have on the 1 gig card to the 2 gig card and have them work or do I have to have to reload them to get them to work....? Thanks if you can help........ I try not to bother you guys to much with all the probs in this phone.....

|  To the OP: was your PC able to read the card after the format? It sounds like you have a bad card. You can contact SanDisk and verify the serial number if you didn't buy direct from them.

| Either a bad card or, as Kreth implied, possibly one of the thousands of counterfeits out there. This is one of those purchases that counterfeits are so pervasive that even buying from a legitimate brick and mortar dealer like Circuit City or Best Buydoesn't assure you the purchase will be authentic. A big difference is that they will stand behind you...usually. Caveat Emptor... |
