Need opinion - Treo Forums

Just swapped out my 700p because everytime I make a call, the speaker makes a buzz or crackle (whatever you want to call it) for a quick second. After that the conversation is fine, but it was very annoying. So I went to Verizon and they gave me a new one. And it does the exact same thing. Has anyone else experienced this?

I don't recall that happening, but made a test call just the same. Nothing happening like that w/ my 700p on Verizon. Are you experiencing it with a bluetooth headset or is this coming from the Treo's speaker itself?

From the speaker itself (not speaker phone). Basically once I hit send, I put the phone to my ear and as soon as it does the initial ring , it does it. DId you try it that way? Thanks for checking into this for me

That's what I tought and no problems with my Treo. I dialed my home number and put the Treo to my ear -- silence and then the ring.

So I tried it to make sure I wasn't crazy again. When I dialed my voice mail and it never rings (u get your greeting) it was fine. Then I dialed a contact and it does it on the first ring only......??????

Tried dialing directly from Contacts rather than dialer and still no issue. You could always stop by your local VZW and see what they say. If they have a sample phone, show them what's happening.

I got my 700p through Sprint six days ago and have no such problem.
