My girlfriend recently bought a 700p and I have a few questions.

Is there anyway to add a pause to a number being dialed?
I found a thread that showed how to automatically enter additional information, but it didn't seem to coincide with the phone.

What is the most efficient way to use an mp3 as a ringer?

Is it possible for the ringer to reside on the sd card?
It seems that the ringer must reside on the phones internal memory for it to work correctly.

Can the Palm play .m4a files?

The thing that I find troublesome about these "smart"phones and PDA phones is that it appears you have to keep purchasing these little home brew apps to do stuff that the phone should already do in the first place.

It can be programmed into one of your 70 speed dial buttons, but not (I don't believe) into the default Contacts list provided with the phone (not sure of 3rd party apps).

You can upgrade ptunes and download .wma files or sync them.
You are correct about having to purchase or upgrade applications to get the phone to perform as it should right out of the box. I find it very annoying and costly and all those who agree should contact palm and their wireless carrier.
