Hey Guys/Girls,

I need some help with my Treo 700p. Hopefully you can be of assistance!

1) My contacts in outlook do not sync to the phone, it says there is some type of error.

2) I have a Verizon email account setup on the phone. I can get new unread my email but whenever I want to respond to or send a new email, when I push send it says that my username and password is invalid...what do I do?

3) I have the phone set to alert me when new email arrives, but the phone never goes off. I would like the email to be "pushed" to the phone, just like the Blackberry's have.

4) Does the 700w work better then the 700p when it comes to Microsoft Outlook?

5) I want to set my school email up to work through the phone. Would I choose "other" as far as the choice when setting up the account. I access this email account through Microsoft Outlook Web Access.

This phone is my Dad's however, I am considering a Treo 700p/w or 8703 BB, both from Sprint. I like the 700w, however the resolution is the biggest problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Happy Holidays!

Call them to find out what the user name and password are.

Double check the settings, make sure the volume is up, use Attention Manager. Use Buttler (3.93 works for me). Use ChatterEmail - the best email application for push on the 700p.

Not really

If you school email provider is POP3, set it up just like a POP account. If a PUSH account, you know, it has been a long, long, long day. Give it a go and see what happens. If it works, it works. If it does not work, it will not work.

What we need to know is what email program you are using.

Error Message: This came up under the HotSync Log: Outlook Contacts synchronization failed

My username and password aren't the problem. I can check my email but when I respond, it says the username and password are incorrect, any ideas as to why?


What do you mean what kind of e-mail program I am using?

What he's asking is whether you're using the email application that came with the Treo, or are you using a trial or purchased version of some 3rd-party email app, like ChatterEmail (highly recommended), Snapper, Agendus Mail, or others.
