    Default New treo owner woes

    Hi All;
    may have wrong forum if so sorry in advance... just wanted to know if anyone has had a similar problem..im getting NO help from sprint and cant bear the thought of talking to one more brain dead rep on the phone...
    I bout a family plan fromn sprint last thurs bought 3 phones including my new treo 700p... all were activated in box...and all ran well.....UNTIL.. i tried sprint tv....and online account access.. the tv app...just says error M01 server not available/. when i use blazer ro access the sprint website..it wont log me on says theres an authentication error...went to my pc...tried to log on directly at sprint .com....says phone number n password dont exist.....ok..stay with me...my other 2 phones..DO log onto sprint...open the account page with only those 2 phones listed the treo just isnt there..at this point its pretty clear the treo is failing log on to sprints system cause it just doesnt exist...ive called..umm lets see over 10 days.. have emailed 9 times to customer care..each time just just get a form letter response..last 2 times just said to wait n see...1 said no clue, another dropped my powervison service inadvertantly then started charging for net service by the KB, one reset my password without asking me... 2 passed me on to advanced tech support that said mmm interesting...last sunday tech said well call ya in 24 hrs when fixed....ahh hah...here it is a week later...got another tech and he says? wow never saw this before...lemme call ya back in 24 hrs..
    bottom line is this phone just isnt linked via the account function..and im just so close to givin up and returning em all...has ANYONE ever run into anything like this...OR any suggestions? weve done soft and hard resets,i have a treo ive had for 10 days and it hasnt left the house once yet.
    i left my sidekick and tmobile for this...im really sorry i did...as low tech as the SK was it always worked for me..SPRINT Is absolutely not winning me over with this horrid customer service.
    Thanks for letting me rant...

    Sprint probably thinks you hacked your treo 700p and are trying to activate the ESN. So if I were you traded backin and see if you can get another one.

    Sorry for your troubles.

    Wow...I'm sorry that you've had such a hard time with Sprint. I've had an account with Sprint for about 10 years now, and I've never experienced poor service like this.

    If I were you, I would collect all 3 phones and their packaging...go to the Sprint store and tell the Manager that he/she needs to fix the connectivity issue with the Treo 700p or you're returning all of the phones and cancelling the account. Be nice about it, though. I always get better service when I'm not an arse.

    Let us know how things turn out.

    P.S.: I mentioned to you, in another thread, that I recently opened a new account with Verizon. I've spoken with their reps (for free, unlike Sprint) several times re: various questions that I've had. And, I even asked for help in performing a hard reset on my 700p. All calls were handled very, very well. It's only been a week or so, but I'm already hooked. I've changed my Sprint account to the bare minimums as I'm still under contract with them.

    WOW.... follow up...11 days later,,,,got a call from a tech i talked to last nite...she said took 3 advanced level techs to diagnoise and solve..but its done..finally have all 3 phones one account and full access, still have a bad taste in my mouth about poor service though. this was an apparently simple problem that took almost 2 weeks to fix after putting me through the wringer...oh well...just dont think it portends a happy start to me and sprint...
    thanks all for suggestions

    pill2u... I had the exact same problem with Verizon. Glad you're all fixed up now.

    I think both Sprint and Verizon are trying very hard, especially in the last year or so, to clean up their customer service areas. Having worked in telecom the last bazillion years, I know that fixing customer service prevents "churn" (customers coming/going). Customer churn is costly, especially with number portability.

    I do give props to verizon cuz they have gave me the best customer support than any company in the world. Doesn't matter tvs, to cellphones. They have always been good. That is one reason why i'm on verizon. I just wish verizon would cut there prices a little bit. make it a little more affordable for college students.
