You need a headset jack that is designed for the 600/650/700p/700w/700wx Treos then you get stereo. Ben

also what headsets are u using. Cause if u are using a 2 in 1 headset u might have to play with the phone/mp3 button to see when the sound is coming out of both.

How long does your battery last when your listening to music on your Treo? Could I effectivly throw away my ipod? I use it at sometimes... most I would listen would be about 3 hours.... but still need the phone... so dont want to kill the battery...

How is the sound quality with a good pair of headphones?

sound quality is the same as an ipod.(with stock headphones)

If you don't get an extend battery for your phone you might end up using maybe 65-75% of your battery for three hours of music tht is my estimate. But it all depends.

U can increase you sound quality be getting the really highend headphones.

i recommend a extended battery if you are going to start listening to music, movies, and whatever else. Chekc out the extended battery thread in the 700p section for more info.

I was just testing it myself. I still use my ipod, but was hoping to possibly eliminate it. Im not a heavy music listener except while in the vehicle which I have a car charger and extra battery. So the power consumption is not a concern yet. Hopefully someone else can give us some insight on this if they haven't already.

    Hi Jreagles16,
Can you tell me more about "u might have to play with the phone/mp3 button "?

i keep trying different headsets with my treo and only get sound from the right side. I am trying to use the Pocket tunes feature to avoid purchasing an MP3 player, but am becoming weary of not being able to get sound from both the left and right side. The only headphones I have had any luck with were by Seido, but they had poor sound quality. Reading your entry I see there may be a button, etc. I can use to possibly help with this challenge.
    Thanks.
