I am just starting to swarm all the forums and try to figure out what the hell I need to get my phone rolling correctly.

I havent tried to set up my email and/or bluetooth yet...Hopefully I will be able to tackle that tomorrow.

However, I was surfing around and I see that AIM charges you for AIM on your palm? Is there a way around that? I searched "AIM" in the search feature and nothing came back...I am sure this has been talked about before and i really feel like a dumbass for asking about it with my first post.

Also...I have looked around your store and ebay...but I really want a good holster. I previously worked at a nextel store as a tech/rep for a college job and I know 99% of the holsters are garbage.

Basically I do not want a leather case/pouch. I do not need something that looks too professional...just something that will stick to my belt if I am moving around alot w/o worrying about losing it. anyone with a nice tip on that...I would be very thankful.

Welcome and congrats on your new unit.
A few pieces of advice.
First, Treos can be buggy. Go very slowly when adding to your Treo. Some third party applications might cause problems. If you are intending to add some, and well you should, add one at a time. Wait a week or so to make sure the application 'plays nice'. Only when you are sure that the unit is stable, should you consider another one. You don't want to be in the position of not knowing which application is giving you problems.
As to BlueTooth, I figured I would save you problems, many people have problems with BT headsets. Never turn BT off (on your Treo, to save battery power). With mine (and many others) if you do, when you turn it back on, BT appears on the screen to be on, however, voice doesn't transmit. You can answer and disconnect calls from the headset, but you can't hear nor speak. If you try to pair the headset...the problem still exists. The only solution is a soft reset. It doesn't matter if your headset is on the BT compatibility list, or not, the bug will cause you aggravation. Save yourself a ton of aggravation, leave BT on 24/7.
Finally, read the owners manual, 99% of questions can be answered there.
If you visit many forums (I also visit MyTreo and Treo Central), please don't post the same question in multiple forums, as it can frustrate those trying to help you, especially if they spend 5 minutes working to help, only to find the exact answer was already provided to the duplicate post elsewhere. Of course, after a day or two, if your question isn't resolved, please seek assistance where ever you can find it.

On Cases, sometimes it pays to shop the competitor's stores. I am a cingular customer,(formerly a Sprint user) but found the case I liked was at a verizon store, and at a good price too. Is it THE perfect case, no, but it will get me by till I find a better one. My preferences are for a locking belt clip that doesnt just slide over the belt, but hooks behind it to prevent accidentally bouncing it off while cycling. I also closely examine the hinge points of the clip as this is another failure point from as far back as the pager days. There are even a few case reviews on Youtube.com as well.
