Default OEM Mail vs Versamail?

On my 700p I noticed (using the wireless sync) that there is a standard email program on the phone already. And then the disc comes with Versamail. Whats the difference and which should I use? Thanks

Versamail is Palm's mail program. I am not certain what you are using in a wireless sync. xpress mail maybe? or Good??? Versamail is embedded on the Treo, but can be configured from the desktop and then overwritten upon hotsync. If email is not a big deal to you, Versamail has an attractive interface and might be all you need. Most of the regulars here have moved on to Chatter email and Snapper. Others like Agendus. I am a chatter user myself. I really thought that versamail was all I needed! But I kept having problems out of it with screen freezes and corrupt databases. Once I tried Chatter, I realized just how good mail could be on a Treo. My advice would be to configure versamail, and give it a whirl. If it works for you, GREAT! If not, there are some really great alternatives available . .

I am using Verizon wireless sync. I then downloaded versa mail just to check it out against the Verizon wireless sync mail program. What I do like about it is when I delete an email it does the same on my desktop. That way I don't come back to my office and see the same one again. Does versa mail and other do that as well. I hate to say it, but its confusing me. One difference I noticed is the Verizon mail client is pulling personal email account(yahoo) and my business and displays them together on the same inbox. Where versamail keeps them seperate.

One more thing I never have to push sync or anything with the verizon, the emails just show up. I just set it to "push". IT appears on versamail I have to push get mail or set time intervals? Is this correct. I might sound like an idiot, but this is all new to me
