| Are you allowed to view word and exel files on it? For some reason the guy at the verizon store was telling me that was just for the windows version. Is this true? I thought it was on both the p and w. |

| The 700p comes bundled with DocumentsToGo v8, which handles MSOffice files just fine. Gotta be careful with some of those "expert" sales reps....

| Yes, you don't know how much I hate going to these stores. Alot of people don't even know what the hell they are selling. He was just trying to get me into buying the w cause that's probably just what they had, I don't know.
Another question:
What are the major pros and cons one over the other? Why would you choose the p over the w and vice versa. |

| Check out this page, where Chris reviewed both versions. The memory and screen are are better on the p than the w, which is a big deal for some but not so much for others. Familiarity with PalmOS, which is easy to learn, is a big deal for some but not so much for others. Some of us have invested a fair amount in 3rd-party apps which we'd (largely) have to give up if we went with a w version.

What one is good for a beginner? AND also, does it work with the programs I already have installed? Can I install it on my memory card or on my actual treo? |

| I am getting very leary of going with a Treo at this point. I can get a Treo through Sprint for a good deal due to my Nextel problems $299 and I guess I do have the 30 days, but lockups on a regular basis would really irk me. |

| It all depends on what apps u have installed and how much free memoery u have on the device for the device to run.
Other than that the device doesn't lock up as much as u have read. When u come to these sites u have to remember that more people complain about problems on the internet than they do on how good it runs.
I will admit my device lags about once or twice a day due to the texting. But lock ups or resets like I had one two months ago but that was cause I was trying to run LPJ. |

| After reading the post about the 700wx coming to Verizon, I got a flip phone and will wait until the wx comes around. |
