Default Putting music on an sd card?

I just bought a 512 mb San Disk card and want to put some music on it. Is there a tutorial or something here on this forum that I could read up on? I'm not sure if I need to format it first and then how to go about the whole process.

FYI, I have a card reader and thought that I would just drag stuff onto the card rather than "sync" the stuff onto the phone and card. I'm using an iMac if that makes any difference.

Thanks

If yes, when you open the MP3 on the Treo, will it just open up and be played in P-Tunes?

I wasn't going to spend the extra $$ for Missing sync, I just started adding songs via the Palm install (send to handheld) option.

You would then need to add the songs to the playlist(s) under ACTIONS - MANAGE PLAYLISTS... bada bing bada bang, you're done.

Ok, so I did just as eddiem said and put some songs on the card through "send to handheld". Now how do I access them? They don't show up in ptunes or under card info. I'm pulling a real brain fart here. Help me out!

Are they in the DCIM folder on the card?
