Default Question about my messed up 700p

my 700p just died....I have a big white window that blocks almost the entire screen. Did every reset I know about, will not go away. When I called sprint, they confirmed it was under warranty, and that I had to take it to my nearby sprint repair center.

Does anyone know if the repair center will replace it for me, or will they have to send it in? I am concerned about being without a phone for a week or two.

Call customer service and speak with a supervisor. Tell them that you can't be without a phone, they might arrange a temporary replacement. Keep asking, supervisors usually are helpful.

From my experience dealing with both Cingular and Verizon, I explained that my Treo was used on a daily basis for my employment, and thus couldn't be without it. Both companies, in different situations, sent me the replacement phone then included a self addressed, prepaid sticker that I put on the box they sent my new phone in, and package up my "troubled" phone and took that box to the post office.

I was told by both companies, that if I didn't return the defective phone within 10 days, they would charge me full retail cost of the phone they sent me as a replacement.

You'll never know unless you ask. And as I've found, if you don't get the answer you are looking for, then keep going up the chain of command until you get what you want. Remember, you CAN take your business elsewhere, and port your number to a different carrier. There is even a website that gives you information on how to get out of your contract in certain situations.
