| Quick question on data connection.. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how in the world do you disconnect from the internet?
Do you just close the browser and go to the phone? Sometimes I still see the data connection arrows. Is there a way to just disconnect from the internet. Maybe a button or something.
Thanks
Btw..Just got my 700p a few days ago, very happy so far. Had the 650 for a while. |

| A few applications have this built in. For those not running an application with it built in, visit the system preferences > Communications > Network > Disconnect.
An application that may interest you: Power Hero: http://www.hobbyistsoftware.com/power-hero-more.php and the beta is at 1.05 - very stable.

| Thanks Ben! For the life of me I couldn't remember where to go to get to disconnect.
Quick question.. With Z Launcher's file remover capabilities, would you still recommend an uninstaller? I would like to just go with a backup program, like Backup buddy, and not have to get a uninstaller if not neccessary.
Do I have to go with Backup Buddy pro or will basic be enough for someone with not so many programs?
Thanks in advance for the help. |

For a long while, I just went with ZL's file manager, but eventually realized the need for an uninstaller. ZL does a pretty good job getting rid of those little "orphan" files, but does occasionally miss some. I do a lot of trials and betas, so I ended up with a bunch of files I couldn't explain on my Treo at one point. Since going with Uninstall Manager, by Northglide, I haven't had that problem. They also make some other very useful utility apps.
As for the backup apps, I don't have any personal experience with Backup Buddy. I used BackupMan for a while, then switched to Resco Backup. I'm very pleased with it.

| Uninstall Manager integrates with ZLauncher's file system and when ZLauncher is used to delete a file, UM is right there ready to play. The other player in the application installation monitoring game is DeStaller. I have used both and prefer UM. The recommendation on the backup application, Resco Backup is also an excellent choice. If free is the name, then try NVBackup. The link for it is http://www.freewarepalm.com/utilities/nvbackup.shtml. I have used both and use Resco Backup exclusively.

| Thanks for the descriptions. going to be giving probably Uninstall Manager a try, and I will most likely be going with Resco. At least for the trial. |
