So I know that sending video via SMS is limited to 195kb per clip which is around 4 sec. of video. My wife and I started to send the larger videos via Versamail with hopes of sending each other clips of our kids. It doesnt seem to always work. Is Versamail limited with the size of attatchments that can be sent? I also tried maxing out the allowed kb at 5200 ish or whatever it is with no luck.
Is there any other App that will allow for larger attatchments to be sent via email that I can download? Free or to purchase, I don't care...
Would say Chattermail, Snappermail or any other Email App work better with sending larger video?
Its been a while, and I can't even guess file sizes, but when my son was in Iraq, my wife and I would record short clips telling him about our week, his dog playing in the back yard, etc . . . .
Anywhere from 30 secs, to probably a couple of minutes. I emailed them through Chatter with Cingular service. No real issues . . . . Sending them might take as much as 4-5 minutes before the file left the Treo.
When you say it doesn't always work, can you be more specific? Does the problem seem to be leaving the Treo? Does your email service have any limits set on attachments? On the size of your inbox?

Just a suggestion. I have not tried it on Treos, but have used it for very large video and pic files. I use Yahoo briefcase, and download my stuff onto a shared folder. Then I send an e-mail through Yahoo, and invite whoever to use the briefcase. Then they can download the content.
