Seriously... about this bluetooth thing...
I broke down and got a Nextlink Bluespoon AX2. I've had it a week and it really, genuinely, totally, completely lacks almost any redeeming value (just like Congress).
It lacks anything close to clarity. I can be inches away from the handset (700p) and it's breaking up all over. I can't get any farther than six feet, tops.
I have to resync it several times a day. When the 700p searches for it, it very seldom finds it.
People that call me say they have a horrible echo. They can hardly hear me because of static.
On the good side, I can generally hear people pretty well.
So the question I have is this: Is this headset rotten because of the 700p bluetooth (or lack thereof)? Or is it because it's just a $23 piece of garbage?
If it's because of the 700p bluetooth, should I wait on the Palm Grand Poobah to release the patch to end all misery? Thus relieving me of my bluetooth ache?
On the other hand, if it's the headset, I can drop it in the garbage disposal and see what kind of reception it gets in there.:tounge:
I've love to get some feedback. Especially if anyone has the AX2.

I have had bunches of Bluetooth headsets and frankly, few work that well. The Sony series kills my ears, but sounds ok. The Motorola series does not always pair well with the Treo series. The list continues.
I have thrown three away, have two sitting here that do not work worth crap and two that work so-so and the bad thing is that they all work well with my Bluetooth enableld Nextel.

I have tried Jabra 250v, 500, jx10, palntronics 640 and 655. They all sucked , well I should say when used with the Treo. Im convinced, although a near perfect smartphone, the BT is a feature in the 700p that we were sold short on. Im 99% percent sure I'm going to just turn the bluetooth off, and stick to a wired headset untill we get that fix. Its very tiresome and annoying.
