service connection screen on 700P?
i have a 650 now and one of the things i hate, besides the instability, is that when it checks email or gets on the internet it pops up a screen that's half the size of the total screen height that is labeled as the "service connection status" and it says, "establishing connnection...established....connected" or whatever and has a cancel button at the bottom. i frequently hit the cancel button accidentally and i also have to wait 30 seconds or so while it does this if i want to make a call instead. overall, i hate this screen.
i have pre-ordered the 700p. does anyone know if that screen is still there (i'm on verizon)? i noticed on my brother's 700w that there's no screen, it just says "checking email..." in the bottom left of the app and since he's on evdo it's almost instantaneous. i like the palm os but this is a major concern for me.
anyone know, and if the screen is still there, is it faster, does it not have a cancel button, etc? i thought the idea of the evdo was that is was faster, and sort of always on or available vs. the 1x service which to me is like a dial up.
thanks.

Yes, there is a screen that shows a Service Connection Process. Yesterday, it seemed a bit slow -- but today it's literally 2-3 seconds. I checked Web access. Still have to set up my email accounts, but I'm assuming it'll act the same.
