Default Setting up POP E-Mail Account on Sprint 700P.....HELPPPPPPP

I am trying to set up my work email to go to the phone and it has been a NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!!!! There is always sometime of error message that pops up after I feel that I fixed what was wrong.

I can get the mail, with no problem. However, replying or sending an e-mail to someone is a problem.

Here are what each screen shot looks like:

Account Name: Circle, Mail Service: Other, Protocol: POP

Username and Password are entered: This should be to log into the Account, correct?

Email Address, Incoming Mail Server, Outgoing Server: stmp.sprintpcs.com, correct?

Advanced: Incoming Server settings are fine.

Outgoing Server I have are: Use ESMTP checked off with the Username as my SprintPCS Phone Number and the Password that is assigned to it.

Please let me know if this looks right. I am ready to break this phone because Sprint/Palm give very poor directions on setting up e-mail. For the amount of money for these phones, you just have to put in your username, password, and incoming server and thats it!!!

When I try to send an email, I get this message: The server did no recogonize your username and/or password. Please check and try again. However, which username and password is this? I presume it is outgoing??

PLEASE HELPPPPP!!!!

Call Sprint and get them to help you. That is what I did and I also took the time to consolidate my passwords - much easier. Ben

you need to change outgoing mail server to what ever email server you are using, unless you are using sprint email instead of your personal email. Let me know what server you are using i.e gmail, msn..... and I can tell you how to set it up

Thank You, but I called Sprint and they helped me with it. I was on the phone with them for about 45 minutes, however, I am having a problem with the Active Sync. It always says that Active Sync failed on all of the email accounts. Any reason why?

you mean hot sync active sync is for windows mobile devices. Do you have the 700p or 700w?

Are you using exchange server with your 700P DJBounce? or hot sync?
