The side button........right below the up down switches, whenever I push it, it plays a tune. How do i make it not do that, or what is that for?

It is used for whatever you want.

Go into System -- Preferences -- Personal -- Buttons
And you can change what it does (it is the bottom option on the 650)

I quit using the button due to starting whatever was assigned to it when accidentally pressing the button. Ben

I know how to get there, and change what the button does........however, when it says press button and hold......it does what i tell it to, but when i just press it and not hold it, it plays some random tune.......I dont get it, i cant get it to not play sounds.

the side button for my 700p was set to play/pause ptunes. I use ptunes a lot cuz im in HS (for one more day!) and its a decent mp3 player. if you hold it the default is a recording. You can change the "press + Hold side button" by going to the the home screen...menu...system prefs...buttons..and its the bottom one. dont know if you can change what it does if you click it, you can always put a song you like there instead of the getting started that plays.
