SMS/Text Messaging causing 700P to reset.... - Treo Forums

I've had this problem the last few days....two different people have sent me text messages and when I've tried to open the message or respond, my Treo will reset every time. Is there a reason why it's doing it? I've done a soft reset & it hasn't worked....

Interaction with another application might cause it. Has anything new been installed on the device?

There's a possibility your message database has become corrupted. You may need to delete it and then perform a soft reset. Let us know if that helps!

Message database. I don't know how long it would have taken me to think of that. If at all. This place is great!

Okay....before I try that lol, is there any way I can save my previous messages and how do I restore my message database?

You could try exporting the database in another format, but if it's corrupted, you won't want to put it back on your Treo or you'll have the same problem as before.

Okay, before I give it a try....I do have a Mundu IM on my Treo that was beamed to me. I'm also having a problem with Mundu that when I log on and try to send a message....the Treo will start resetting itself. Could the trouble have started with the Mundu IM?

I would definitely recommend uninstalling Mundu and see if that solves the reset issue. Perhaps do a soft reset when done. The app can be downloaded and installed via cable or bluetooth later, yes?

Which app are you referring to? The Mundu or Messaging?
