| SMS / Text Messaging Problem. sometimes my phone will just not recieve texts. I can be sitting next to my friend in class and send him 1,000 texts, all of which he recieves, but if he attempts to send one back i will not get it.
Sprint said to take out the battery and put it back.
I have to do to this twice in one week, upoon which i get a flood of 20 texts over the past two days that I did not recieve.
Treo problem or Sprint Problem?
Should i take it in?

| Some people have found the SMS database has become corrupted and deleting the database makes everything ok. Others not so. Delete Messages_Database.pdb and see what happens.
Another thing, does the device reset at all? Are you using Butler?

| Your Treo like most experiences the "lag" disease - it takes a few moments sometimes for it to act when a key is pressed. Since you do not know what Butler is, we do not need to go up that avenue.
I suggest deleting the SMS message base as described above and let us know what happens. Ben

| I've had this happen before with Verizon. I did the *228 update (may be different for Sprint), which updated my Network connectivity to upgrades they may have made.
As soon as I did this update, I also got a flood of misssed text messages, after which point it never failed again.
Verizon recommend this be done one per month at least, which I try to do. |

| Mine was reprovisioned twice last week due to a text message reception problem. Turned out to be a third party software problem instead. The *228 action is a PRL update which Sprint does when calling them using *2. Most of the time a PRL update is not necessary for local operation.
