Someone please help!! Re: NO SD card (technical)
Woke up this morning (day after turkey day) and realized my Treo wasn't recognizing my SD card!! So I did a soft reset, and nothing. Removed the card (made the beep that card was removed) and re-inserted (no beep on re-entry). Card still not showing up. So then I did a "Warm Reset"- and the card showed up (yeah). And then like with every warm reset, I did my soft reset and I was back to square one:embarassed: . So then I did a hard reset. The card showed up and everything was just grand. Then I did a restore from resco backup and again back to square one. SIDENOTE: right after warm reset, I did a back up and that is the set I used to restore with. (PAUSE) I just re- hard set and now Im doing a back up from a set from Weds 22. Ah- Ha. It worked!! So I guess something or a program beccame corrupt sometime after weds??? Any ideas of what could have possibly happened. Justa bummer because I made a lot of changes since weds and now Im 2 days behind:angry:

The card can occasionally burp and that has happened to me one time. You should consider a sync program that backs up the card and the one to look at is BackupBuddy Pro. What happens on occasion is a file gets corrupted and the system cannot read, therefore not find what it may be looking for. In addition, cards have been known to go bad and may require reformatting or even replacement. I had to reformat once and at that point made sure I always kept a copy of the data on the SD card on the laptop. If you do not want to spend the money for BackupBuddy Pro, another option is a card reader - use it to copy the contents of the card to your computer. Bad things do happen on occasion. Ben

yeah, i just had the same problem. my first treo froze everytime i sent a text message. now, the second treo i have went ahead and deleted all the data off my SD card, and doesn't even let me reformat it. if the third one has just a simple problem, i'm going to end this horrible relationship i started w/ treo's.

So everything was good for a day and same thing again today. If I hard reset, everything will be ok. Something I added has to be doing this.

I do hard resets it seems like every 12 hours, but still, the last 2 700p's that I received from verizon still have bugs. I asked if any of the issues that I was having were common, but they didn't notice.

Give CradleCare a try, it has an option in their that works with SD cards well and I have used it for a couple of years or so. I first began using it when I had the 600 and it was really necessary back then. Since then I have always installed it on each of my POS devices. The link is http://www.gotreosoftware.com/products/CradleCare/.
