Default Speaker not working on 700P

The speaker (the one used when holding the phone to your head) on my Verizon 700P has suddenly stopped working. I can switch to speaker phone to hear the other party but I can not use the phone in a traditional way. Has anyone else experienced this and is it a hardware or software issue. I have the following running on my phone:
    Butler
    Phone Technician
    Call Rec
    TCPMP

None of which are recent installs that would lead me to suspect that they are the issue.

Did you use a plug-in headset?

No but I intend to until I can figure out how to fix it.

Found a possible fix. Haven't tried it yet (I don't have a #5 troque driver). Will update the outcome after I try to fix it. WISH ME LUCK !!:laugh3:

    YOU NEED TORQUE #5 SCEWDRIVER.

    1. TAKE OUT SIM TRAY.

    2. REMOVE 4 SCREWS ON BACK, TAKE OUT ANTENNA.

    3. STARTING ON THE TOP AND SIDE, PRAY OPEN THE CASE WITH YOUR FINGERS
LEFT AND RIGHT SIDE, WORK DOWN YOUR WAY CAREFULLY.

    4. TAKE BACK OFF, REMOVE 2 MORE SCREWS HOLDING THE MAIN PCB BOARD AND
FLIP IT TO THE RIGHT SIDE.

    5. YOU NOW SEE THE EARPIECE WITH 2 SPRINGS, HOLD IT DOWN AND STRETCH
EACH SPRING ABOUT 1/8 (2-3MM) OF AN INCH WITH A TOUTHPICK OR SMALL
    PLIERS. REASSEMPLE.
