| Sprint Signal Icons Can you tell me what the Sprint icons stand for on my Treo? I'm new to Sprint and I'm not sure they are. I know that what the signal thing is, but there is a "target scope" type thing that I don't know what is. Not a real big deal, but I have been wondering. |

| You already know what the signal strength indicator is....if it has green arrows above it, you're connected to the ordinary data network. If the arrows are blue (or up/down blue arrows to the left of it), you're connected to EvDO. The bullseye-looking icon is the 911 locator. It enables computer systems to pinpoint your location. If you disable it (red slash through it), it only works to locate you if you've called 911. The envelope with a speaker in it means you've got voicemail. An envelope with the SMS icon means you've got text messages. A big "R" means you're roaming. Doing this off the top of my head, so I may have missed some. I'm sure they're laid out somewhere in the manual if you need more. Hope that helped.

| If you read the user's guide that came with your 700p, it walks you through all that. |

| Who reads instructions, right? How can I turn the 911 locator off so that it's only activated if 911 is called? |
